Uk uni dance ....

Would any body else in the Uk be interseted in trying some more difficult uni
dance at the Stourport Uni day on 2nd Dec? I’m keen to try the eightsome reel
out , BUT it needs 8 good riders, who can move confidently on 20inchs.

Any takers.

Yes yes yes yes yes, I wanna do it. I’ve no doubt you’ll easily find 7 of us to
try it with you.

Hi Sarah,

A reel on a uni? Hmmm… sounds good. Get a group together and consider
yourselves invited to the next Shetland Folk Festival. I’d sell my own granny to
see the folks faces as you take the floor. Perhaps that’d finance your trip

Re: Uk uni dance …

Sarah,

You could try and get live music on unicycles as well. I am actually in a folk
music group in the Netherlands, but I can’t play and idle at the same time yet.

Get practiseing, why not come to euro-cycle in Plymouth Uk next year, bring your
fiddle , pipes, or whatever along and we’ll try a real uni reel.

Euro-cycle is July 19th -22nd, Tamerside college, Plymouth . Very close to
Dartmoor for muni expeditions, not too far from the sea side for ice creams and
paddling, bring the family.

Great plan Klaas!

This could be our excuse to get Kris Holm over here  I was working on how to
cause a big land slide… but playing with bombs and things is not my area. :frowning:

Re: Uk uni dance …

Sarah,

Not being able to play and idle was actually a bit of an understatement. I
started unicycling 2 months ago, am still practicing the freemount. The girls
ride better, both got their official level 1 lately. BTW, (I play string
base, percussion and I sing, sometimes reels or other western folk, but
mostly Balcan.)

Euro-cycle, hm, kids’ last school day is July 20 so I’m afraid it won’t fit. But
with all but one of the family unicycling, we are due to turn up on a unicycle
event sometime.
