I just ordered my Kovachi 40mm Rubber Sealed Bearings and also a pair of Black Vuelta Alloy Dust Caps from Unicycle.com! I hope they come soon! I used 3 day select just cuz I’m impatient and my mom offered to pay shipping if I payed the product cost…LOL…as you may have guessed I switched it to 3 day when she went to go to the bathroom!

Ordering bearings can be evil. When you need them you often need them now because the old bearings are shot. That means you want them now and get stuck with paying for expedited shipping.
I solved that problem by buying extra bearings all at once. That way I have some on hand. I’m going to need them eventually so it’s not a waste to have them.
All right Tyler, it’s gonna cost you ten bucks to keep this ecret a secret… Lol.

speaking of bearings and such, how do you remove schwinn bearings? I should do this soon because I’m re-building my taccoed wheel to make a strong off-road wheel so I can have a choice between that and the road wheel. My bearings are shot on the old one, so, any advice is helpful.

Ms. Dixon is most likely an alias and the poster-under-cover has really been around for a good period of time. Even if she hadn’t been registered, with her powers, she should have had good insight on the goings on here even before she knew we existed.

Schwinn’s are different. They use a circlips to hold the bearings in the frame. There are pictures of the Schwinn bearings and circlips in the UDC catalog here. You need to pry off the circlips using some small screwdrivers or similar tools and maybe some needle nose pliers. You may end up damaging a circlip as you try to remove it if you’re not careful. So it’s a good idea to buy some replacement circlips just in case.
The circlips fit in a groove that is cut all around the outside of the bearing.
UDC might notice that when they fill the order and change the shipping and recalculate the shipping charges. Maybe.
