will they put my uni together if i buy all the parts there? I was also wondering if i can buy all the parts to make a uni and put it together myself without tools i’ll need to buy?
They would build it together for you, but because of the box size needed to ship a full unicycle, I think they would rather not do that.
Though they usually send the unis partially built together. Most times you just need to put the cranks and pedals on, and put in the seat, and sometimes put your frame on.
Of course you could build it easily when you have all the parts. All you really need are some allen wrenches, and pliers, or a ratchet set to make screwing the screws into the bearing holder go faster.
Just make sure the cranks are on nice and tight, and the cranks will say R or L on them, for right and left. Your pedals also have a R or L on them. Make sure the R (right) pedal goes to the R cranks. Make sure the seat doesnt go on backwards, have it so when your sitting on it, your right leg is on the right crank.
Oh, for the frame, the slit on the seatpost should be facing behind you.
Very simple.
dont you need a crank puller also mine have always come with the cranks put on all i needed was a wrench and allen key which udc provided both
A crank puller is to take cranks off. So if you’re putting them on you don’t need a crank puller.
And if you’re literally ordering every single part separately, then you might also need to build the wheel, which is fairly complicated and needs more tools and more expertise.
But you’re probably buying an entire wheel.
yeah the only tricky bit of building a uni is building a wheel up from scratch, everything else can be done in less than 10mins. You will most likely need 5, 6 and 8mm allen key, 15mm open spanner, 10mm spanner, tyre levers, pump. Stock unis from UDC usually require you to install the frame, pedals, clamp and seatpost anyway, the only extra would be fitting the tyre and cranks.
you forgot hammer, sometimes you must have your revenge. grrr
Wait, whats UCD?
The abbreviation for UDC, but spelled wrong.
I hope…
Ya bud it’s…
UnicycleDotCom
Not UnicycleComDot
sorry bout the UCD. I typing to fast. So I was thinking about getting a KH 20" off of UDC but getting a nimbus frame and seatpost. Would UDC take off the KH frame and seatpost and substitute the nimbus frame and seatpost?
I doubt they would do that. Just get a Nimbus ISIS and put moment cranks on it and a cromo seatpost.
