TWEEL - New Car Tyre Idea

i’ve checked and couldn’t find this on the fora anywhere

could something like it work on a uni?

Re: TWEEL - New Car Tyre Idea

I usually search rsu with Google Groups but somehow that seems to be broken at the moment. I seem to remember that this was discussed before in either JC or RSU, also in connection with an airplane undercarriage wheel with flexible spokes from the 1930’s or so. Can’t find it either though. I’m such a big help.

A problem might be that the transmission of power is not ‘direct’ enough. And weight, maybe.

Gild I think it was brought up but its cool enough for another thread about it.

check out the Press Release if you can these things are quite cool, It really makes you think if they will catch on in a few years and change the whole automotive tire market

it’s quite weird, when u’re looking for something that u know is on the forum somewhere and can’t find it, u get more sympathy with brand new people who ask rather than search

I think it’s a revolutionary idea. But somehow, a tweel makes the car look like it should be up on blocks in my old West Virginian home. I’m sure it’ll eventually come to decorating the tweel somehow, maybe outfit the sides with a snazzy black covering with raised white lettering.

Weird, a search for Tweel brings it right up: http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37461&highlight=tweel
