I just hooked my tv up to my computer, after a long time of trial and error I finaly got it working. But its a super old tv (about thirty years old), so after many years of trying to calibrate the tv just by guessing I was wondering if there is a website or something that will display proper colours so I can get them to appear correctly.
Or if someone had any other tips on colour calibrating my tv.
Not a very useful reply, but if your TV really is 30 years old with lots of wear & tear on the tube, it may be too worn to benefit from anything beyond adjusting it “by eye.” This is based on what I’ve seen with CRT computer monitors that are, in some cases, only five years old and can’t hold their color. Hopefully someone has some more concrete advice…
Hah thanks for the replies guys. After not hearing anything for a while, I went googling and tried out some monitor calibrating things, and I couldn’t even get it close. The tube is definatly dying, even in black and white mode everything still looks a little red, and by a little I mean alot. O well, I suppose its an excuse to buy a new tv at some point.
Still I’m surprised the tv has lasted this long, my parents bought it well used when my brothers were very young (they are now 30 and 32), and we have had it ever since.
