More weight on the seat, less on the pedals.

Re: Turning ?

There is no trick to turning, it comes fairly quickly after you have been riding
for a couple of weeks. There are basically 2 types of turns (but most are a
combination of both)

The first type of turn is a twist turn in which you quickly snap your torso
around. This is the most common type of turn executed by beginners as they are
still not comfortable in leaning to either side. To practice this one, keep your
arms outstretched for balance and then quickly twist your torso to the left when
your right leg is at the topmost point. (and vice-versa)

The other type of turn is a “lean” type of turn in which you gently lean to one
side as you would a bicycle and then hopefully watch as your wheel gently aligns
back under you… It comes with practice and requires that you rest most of
your weight on the seat.

I hope this helps and good luck…

Dunno, 'cos I can only ride the length of a tennis raquet so far. Thanks for
posting your progress though, 'cos it encourages me to keep at it (got my uni
for xmas and weather has only permitted me two practice bouts so far).
