Tucson Spokes is a photo collection of the Tucson Cycling Community. I am lucky enough to be included. The book came out yesterday and there were 8 pictures from the book on display at a cycle film event at the old Fox theater downtown. My picture was one of the ones on display. About a month ago I ran into the Stefan Walz, the books creator, on a local bike path. He needed one more photo and we arranged for a photo shoot. I was planning my ride up the Catalina mountains, and his photographer met me for a shoot on the mountain. The picture turned out great. Kris is in the book (his name anyway) as part of the blurb with the picture.

Yeah, it turned out great. It was a bit tricky. There was a truck in the way just out of the picture, and a car parked just in front of me, and the photographer wanted me to ride slow and hold the handlebars. Probably rode around that spot 15 times. Then he had me trying to balance in place holding the bars. I could do it for a bit, but I was making all kinds of faces in the process.
