Trick questions need answering!

Using a lifeline here, need some questions answered. I’ll probably come back to this thread to post new questions as I need them.

Who was the first to do an in2in treyflip? and when?
Who was the first to do an in2in trey fakieflip? and when?
-Luke did it out2in (reg)
Who was the first to do a 180 sidespin? and when?

When’s can be answered with just a month and year.

Interesting questions, I would love to read the answers too.

Almost sure you will never find the answer to this one, sorry. I don’t think anyone landed a sidespin (180 or 360) before Kevin (atleast to seat in, not to seat on side like Felix) and after he landed his, everyone learnt very quickly. It would be impossible to keep track, especially for a trick like the 180 sidespin which can be landed in a couple of minutes after first landing the 360.

I have a question, which you, Shaun, will probably be able to answer :

Who was the first to do a varialflip? and when?

I have always considered that it was Sabin somewhere in 2004, during the filming of Defect, but it could also be you, since you were the first to outflip (right ?). When was your first varialflip filmed and released anyways ?

Thank you…

Varialflip was Sabin Arditty in July of 05.

KH.

Fixed that for you

Fulloutflip was Pele, right?

I have a feeling the fulloutflip was Thibault… but that’s just a guess haha. Alex Toms might be the first to full outflip actually I think… I know he was trying(maybe not landed) them in 2006… dunno if they were done before then. I probably wasnt the first to do fullout treyfakie but I was doing them at the start of 2008, Alex Toms might have even landed one before then. BUT!!! I’m pretty sure I was the first to inward varialflip, but you didn’t ask about that one XD

Weird, when I landed my full varial back (February 26th, 2008, I just checked), I was under the impression I had seen long before that your full outfakies. However, I am almost sure Mike Swarbrick landed them before you (atleast full outbacks, which are basically the same thing, somewhere around March 2007).

Oh, and I expected a “trick question”.

Like when a seemingly difficult question has a simple answer if you apply a little quirky thinking.

Doesn’t this belong into Rec.Sport.Unicycling? What does the Rec mean? Record?

You probably could have just put this thread in the street discussion thread. And yeah Mike Swarbrick was prob clsoe enough.

Recreation (as in sports or pastimes) - it’s how newsgroups on usenet are designated.
This forum is a mirror of the rec.sport.unicycling usenet newsgroup.

I was expecting a trick question as well - bit disappointed it was just questions about tricks.

Are those tricks?

I thought they were infections or something.
I was about to get this thread some antibiotics.

Yes.
