Cummins in Darlington have invited Stockton Unicycle club to go to their summer fate. We get invites all the time to do this, but this will be different. Cummins make big marine engines and have loads of heavy gear… and they are willing to let us play on it! They are even lending us their carpenters for a few days.
So on 16th July 2005 at the Cummins factory in Darlington we are going to run a Unicycle Trials competition on what potentially could be the best course seen in the UK. Everyone is invited, entry is free, food is free and potentially there will be even expenses to get there!
Count me in! I might have to get the train since i’m coming all the way from oxford! Will there be practice areas? I’m not quite sure I’m up to competition standard yet…
Me, I’m looking forward to the Ellesmere Port convention. It’s not often that things happen around here, at least since the Clocktower crashed and burned.
OH and except the unimeets that I co-organise and the circus club. Big things I meant.
Cathy
More details will come later, but here is what I know at the moment. Start 9.30 am finish 4.00pm, food provided, access provided, trials course provided, some expenses available for travelling (Please PM me about this please)
That’s me just back from the train station where I purchased my return ticket to Darlington on Saturday.
I get there at 11:00 and my return train is at 18:36 so I’ll only miss a wee bit of the start and I’ll be able to stay at the end if any help is needed.
Loosemoose, any chance you could bring your Large Marge Muni so I can have a look? The pictures have had me salivating!!
I look forward to meeting and seeing you all there!
The event actaully starts at 10.30 so this should be perfectly ok. We are working on getting the course built earlier, so it will be up and running by then or near to.
