Hello there everyone… I am going to be taking on a tour to the Portland, OR area from Sacramento, CA. I am looking at a variety of routes. The route I am taking will include these citys. Chico, Ashland, Eugene, Salem… Though I will be on bicycle with a trailer… I am wondering if there are any other unicyclist’s near my route that may be interested in having another uni’ist pop a tent for the night and maybe go for a ride whilst traveling up north…

Sounds like a fun trip. I have never done a proper cycle tour but it is on my list of things to do.
Couple suggestions, make a new thread with a better, more descriptive title, maybe something like “Biking up the west coast, any riders between Sacramento, and Portland?”
“Traveling up north” is very ambiguous since not everyone thinks of California as the centre of the universe.
I had great success finding places to stay and people to ride with with a similar thread this fall. But I would also suggest you check out the website www.couchsurfing.org if you haven’t already. I have stayed at some interesting places and met some really cool people through that site. I am still friends with a few of them years later and visit when I can.
Have fun on your trip, don’t take yourself too seriously, and don’t let that rainy southern weather get you down. I am staying here where it is cold but dry.

I will definatly resend with a diffrent heading on my post… I as well have never heard of couchsurfing web pages, but that seems to be the way it is a page for everything these days… But yes I do intend to land in Oregon City, why because I miss the rain… Cali is just to dry for my blood. Been here for two years and I feel as though my soul needs more moisture. I don’t intend on going to Canada as of yet. I am debating on Orcas Island to go and work with some friends up there. But that is still far west from you.
