Well, I stayed in Albany to ride with Steveyo and Roland and a few others, and while I was playing, tornadoes were ripping through Springfield. Everyone I know is safe with no damage, but morning will reveal more than a few war zones. Eish!
Tornadoes in Massachusetts? Keep in mind I get all my news from what people post on Facebook and these forums. [Googling now…] Woah. Nice job not being there. Pictures and video always make news seem more real than just reading about it. Seeing it with your own eyes even more so. Have you seen the damage first-hand?
I live about 1 1/2 miles from the path, so I’m quite familiar with the damage. Seen some of the worst, not something I would wish on anyone. The big story is the way all the communities have pitched in to get everyone through a rough week. Lots of people walking around with chainsaws, axes, water, sandwiches, just looking for someone to help. An amazing response to a terrible tragedy. Although, with only 4 dead, we need to count our blessings that it wasn’t worse. 3 hours earlier, and schools would have been in session…
