torker unistar cx

I just bought my boyfriend a torker unistar cx (20") for his birthday because he’s always wanted a unicycle. He’s brand new at unicycling, and I was hoping someone could give some advice or feedback on the torker or starting out in general. Anything would be appreciated!

I’ll just make two equipment related comments:

The Torker CX has a small, child’s size saddle. Most teenage sized and adult sized people find it too small to be comfortable. An upgrade of the seat to an adult sized saddle may be in order.

The other thing to look at is to make sure you can raise the seat high enough. The stock seatpost on some 20" unicycles won’t go high enough for adult sized riders. You want your leg to be mostly straight (just a slight bend at the knee) when your foot is at the lowest pedal position. Beginners have a tendency to start with the seat too low which makes riding more difficult. The fix is to get a longer seatpost.
