Torker LX 26 questions

Hello everyone!
I posted this same thread on the Rec.Sport.Unicycling discussion
I am a unicyclist from PA. I’ve been unicycling for about 3 years on my first unicycle, which was a Sun 20" that I bought from unicycle.com. It still works, but I want to upgrade. I have been looking at the Torker LX 26 on various websites, but I can’t seem to get any in depth reviews.
I found one on Amazon for $135.00 (not including shipping), but the description is kind of vague. If anyone owns one, can you please give me a little information. I am particularly interested in the quality of the seat (saddle), and whether or not it is comfortable.
Thanks! -perpetualwheelie

btw, I posted this same thread on the Rec.Sport.Unicycling discussion.

I had something longer written up, but then I had problems posting it. To make it brief, I would not recommend the Torker LX26 as much of an upgrade to your Sun 20". My hub easily was bent such that my left crank can not get straight and the saddle is not very comfortable.

Regarding the 26" size, I think that is very good. A 26" unicycle is good for a lot of uses and if you get the right one, you can use it for muni also. I would spend more money and go that route. You might be able to find a good used 26" unicycle for just a little more than what you would pay for the LX26.

I do still like my Torker LX26 and am waiting on a new hub I ordered from UDC so I can re-build the wheel. I hope to ride it a lot more, but I would recommend something else if you are buying new. I bought mine used for about $50.

I bought my torker lx 26 from amazon. It worked well what what I wanted to do. I was mostly just riding on the road and very very light muni. I decided that I wanted to go into more muni and I ended up bending the wheel. It depends on what you are wanting to do. If you just want something to ride around on you should be fine. I bought a Kris Holm freeride seat for it and different pedals. I should say i am 235 lbs and and it held up fine for the till the wheel bent. I am planing on rebuilding the wheel and using it to commute.
So I guess what I am saying it depends on what you want to do.

Hey gang, this is for reviews, ask questions about what to buy on the main forum
