Torches for my birthday!

IT’S MY BIRHTDAY!!!
I’m 17 now! My parent’s are getting me a set of torches, and I need some help deciding which ones to get. I’ve looked them up and I could get Dube, Mr. babache, Infinite Illusions, and a couple others I can’t remember. I don’t know how well any of them are balanced or anything so please help me.

Anyone? (looks around hoping to hear someone)

Sorry, can’t help with your question, but… Happy (Belated) Birthday!

Go for the Dube Klasic (plain white ones). They are very good and sturdy, and you don’t want really fancy torches, remember, it’s already got fire on it, why would you need holigrams? I hope you can already juggle clubs, if not, you’ll need to practice a lot before lighting up, and you can only do that once you have eliminated all mistakes and can juggle flawlessly.

Oh, and pick fuels wisely, kerosine and others have carsinogens.

Fuels: White spirit burns cleanly and hottter, but with a smaller flame, Paraffin burns cooler with larger flame, but stinks and smokes like mad. I wouldn’t day you have to be flawless to juggle fire, just reasonably good, so when you know when it’s going wrong and can just let them drop. Two pointers: make sure you shake the clubs out properly after soaking, wear some kindof eye protection (like sunglasses) to stop burning droplets hitting your eyes.Sorry i would advise on clubs but i’ve only juggled the beard fire torch range, and I don;t think you can get those in the US.

Luke’s top tip for the day: if you accidentally catch the hot end, DROP it, don’t follow my example and carry on juggling…

Thanks for the advice guys!
I an experianced club juggler, so don’t worry to much about me burning myself.

i’ve juggle the dubes and renegades and one set of no-name crappy ones. i liked the dubes quite a bit, and my standard clubs are renegades.

Happy birfday.

I’ve got the Infinite Illusions. They’re alright, but really they’re best as show torches. For learning and getting comfortable with fire, something more durable is best.

Coleman stove fuel burns bright with a fairly large flame, makes very little smoke and doesn’t smell too bad.

I’m gonna take Theo’s advice and get Dube klassics.

I read in the Compendium of Club Juggling that a mixture of alchahol and kerosene works well. Is that true?
