Somehow, this is not quite right… without insurance, I have to pay for each trip to the dentist, despite being drug-free and a generally good guy.
The prison inmates are making prison-brew meth, losing their teeth, and getting free dental care.

Ironic … yes …
But, would you rather die of AIDS from prison sex …?
(don’t make me get graphic )
Prison life is … no life for me …
yeah it sucks the office called me for a cleaning but I was like no because i dont feel like spending money on it. I figure I’ll just brush for like half an hour to simulate what they do.
I gotta go in for X-rays on Feb. 17 to see what kind of braces I need… I guess that meth can’t really effect the placement of your teeth…
I love teeth!
The prisoners sure have a great time.
In sweden it’s said the prison is in every thinkable way, better than the geriatric care.
With better healthcare, better food, you may go outside more often (!), more staff/inmate, better visiting hours, more tv channels.
And last of all, the jailtime is free, the geriatric care isn’t.
I will go on a killing spree when i’m old, nothing to loose, quite the opposit in fact.
Don’t let it backfire and be declared ‘not guilty!’
Yes people in American prisons get good health and dental care. They also tend to get priority on organ donations. This has something to do with knowledge of the fact that money is no object so the operation will definitely go forward. I’m not an expert on this though.
But I’m pretty sure I’d rather not switch places with the guys with methed-up teeth.
I just got my first crown last week. They used a relatively new technique, where the old tooth is photographed before and after the tooth is cut away (this one had too much filling and was starting to crack), and the data fed to a “tooth computer.” Once the pictures have been made, the dentist playes with a 3-D model of my tooth onscreen, while I watch. He literally designs the new tooth in CGI. Mostly to match the old one, but he can do whatever he needs to optimize the biting surface and contact areas between the teeth.
This data is then fed to their “tooth milling machine,” which takes a little cube of porcelain and mills the tooth in about 12 minutes. I got to watch the whole thing.
The new tooth looks much better than what it replaced. It may have a litle seam at the bottom, but no ugly silver fillings!
J Foss:
That’s amazing.
How much was that for one tooth …?
dont even think about trying to ride if youve just gotten your wisdom teeth taken out… the painkillers not only affect your ballance (percacet), but if you crash… just hope you crash hard enough to pass out! i made it about 10 feet before i found my basket ball hoop… i was still waking up from the surgury so i wasnt quite seeing right… but wow, just dont do it!
