Go for it! Lots of fun & something different to do for the winter. There are a few resorts pretty close to you. IMO its most fun to do several days in a row, esp when learning.
I love skiing and snow boarding. Before I discovered Muni they were by far my favorite sports. But they’re kind of expensive, have to deal w/ getting the mountain and finding an affordable place to stay.:o Uni is MUCH more affordable and you just have to walk out your front door to find something fun to do.
I lived in South Tahoe for a year and spent 77 days on the hill:)
(My goal was to hit 100 days and I would have done it if I hadn’t dislocated my collar bone or broken my back:()

Winters probably good fun on a unicycle when it snows but in britian it just rains rather than snows which is no fun.
yes i know i didnt get any snow at all this year, but i prefer the summer anyway because its better for unicycling and is much more fun in my point of view and just because there is nothing to in colchester in the winter
