Tire suggestion for KH29 2015 model

I have KH29 from 2010 2015
A few months ago I replaced the tire with the one that comes with latest KH29: Duro Crux 3.25.

But to my surprise the tire touches the frame at the top.
It seems that the 2010 2015 frame model has less room for the tire.

Any tire recommendation for the KH29 2010 2015 model ?

( I just need ~ 1/2 centimeter ).

Thanks!

What type of riding do you do? XC, DH? Is the ground wet or dry where you live? Lots of rocks or smooth?
Do you prefer a heavy but solid tire or a light but more easily punctured tire?

That frame has the forged crown which I didn’t think went back as far as 2010.

@Maxence

A tire like the Duro Crux 3.25, but a tiny bit shorter would be my preference.

It seems to be a solid tire, or at least it is not a light tire.
I do mostly XC, but conditions could be both dry and wet.
Terrain is not that smooth, some rocks and roots here and there. Some sharp rocks appears every now and then.
Drops no bigger than 50 centimeters.

Why not give a go to a Maxxis Rekon 2.8" ?

The Maxxis Rekon tire was the tire I would have advised to try! I use it on my 27"5er. It rolls great and has a good grip as well. It is also quite light for its size.
I have also set up a Specialized Butcher 29 x 2"6 tire on my G29er. It seems to be a great tire for XC, but maybe too narrow for what you’re looking for.

If we go by size in the slightly-smaller-than-Duro-Cruw category, maybe the Surly Dirt Wizard (29x3.0) would fit and it should roll fairly well despite the knobs.
Seeing the requirements, I would say you could pick any tire with 2.6 to 3.0 size that is cheap and easy to get (weight-wise it seems like you are targeting 800 to 1100g).

It’s pricey, but I think you would like the full volume of the Maxxis Minion DHF 29x3.0

But you should ask KH if they know it will fit

I also have that on my 27.5" (and my 27.5 MTB), I think it’s a good tire for what I would call aggressive cross country.

I have the 3.0 Dirt Wizard 60tpi version on my 26" muni, it’s a good tire for more technical muni. I think KH spec’d it on the 26" for a while, or at least recommended it. There was a lighter weight 120 tpi version that I didn’t like so much, but I think they quit making it.

I run both of those tubeless.

Thanks all.
I got the Maxxis Rekon 29x2.8, and it seems that it fits ok.
