Do it, Chris. Start with a jump mount where you hold the front of the seat with one hand, tilt the unicycle slightly back toward you and jump onto the pedals. Then, do it holding the seat so that the unicycle is vertical when you jump. Finally, balance the unicycle briefly and jump on, cowboy.
You can do this, Chris. Tim’s right, it’s easy. It’s just intimidating. Besides, what have you got to lose? Oh … yeah … sorry.

If it’s any encouragement, I’m a big boy and can perform the Harper described jump mount. It probably doesn’t help though that we also have called it the Soprano Mount at times.

Suicide mounts are easy. They are just intimidating. It’s all in your
head. You’ve just gotta go for it.
I’m at that point now with uni-spins. I keep telling myself that I can do
it but while I’m in the air that warning light in my brain starts flashing
and I bail out. I’ve just gotta learn to ignore my fear (well, maybe that’s
not the best idea.)

That wasn’t meant for everybody, wait, doooh! I did post in on the web, didn’t I? It also shows how jerky I ride. I think I ride smoother on a dirt path. Christopher, I’ll expect to see your suicide mount by our next ride or you can post for all to see. 
I was fortunate enough to nail the suicide mount on my first attempt.
