Time trial in The Netherlands (38 km)

Last weekend there was a time trial in the Netherlands for three categories of human powered vehicles including unicycles. It was dubbed the first Open Dutch Championship Distance Unicycling, over a distance of 38 km on very flat terrain. Dustin Schaap came in first in a time of 1:26:09. I was proud to take third place.

Saturday we had a 38km long timetrial over the Dutch Afsluitdijk, a 25km dike that connects 2 provinces. We had both competitors from Germany and Holland, which made for an interesting race. That looks like such a sweet course. I’d love to do something like that. You could really get up some speed.
