I saw the word Hypothetical Thread, and decided to post one. I wondered what would happen if anyone did. I’m guessing nothing, cause since this is Hypothetical, theroeticlly no one should see it, and so no replys will be posted. If someone does obviously there not really human, or posess some talent to enter into non existant worlds that we don’t know about, untill now, so go ahead and give yourself away…
Actually, I’m just visiting from a parallel dimension. My flux capacitor is a little knackered and I need to find some plutonium before I can return home. Nice place you have here, though! What’s with all the digital watches?
Lots of people are like me, and found it too hard to read the ones with the little sticks that spin around.
Hey in this demension it’s easy to find plutonium, it’s over in Disney world, just look for the dog that always hangs out with Mickey, the huge talking mouse.
Speaking of parallel dimensions, did anyone ever see that showon TechTV about a year ago(before it became g4TechTV) where they were explaining how they prove there really are coinsiding dimensions that effect one another.
It involved shooting a laser through some sort of screening, which did something cool.
Dope stuff.
Parallel Universes
Not just a staple of science fiction, other universes are a direct implication of cosmological observations
By Max Tegmark
Is there a copy of you reading this article? A person who is not you but who lives on a planet called Earth, with misty mountains, fertile fields and sprawling cities, in a solar system with eight other planets? The life of this person has been identical to yours in every respect. But perhaps he or she now decides to put down this article without finishing it, while you read on.
The idea of such an alter ego seems strange and implausible, but it looks as if we will just have to live with it, because it is supported by astronomical observations. The simplest and most popular cosmological model today predicts that you have a twin in a galaxy about 10 to the 10^28 meters from here. This distance is so large that it is beyond astronomical, but that does not make your doppelgänger any less real. The estimate is derived from elementary probability and does not even assume speculative modern physics, merely that space is infinite (or at least sufficiently large) in size and almost uniformly filled with matter, as observations indicate. In infinite space, even the most unlikely events must take place somewhere. There are infinitely many other inhabited planets, including not just one but infinitely many that have people with the same appearance, name and memories as you, who play out every possible permutation of your life choices…
It exists because some one at some point had to click the post new thread button. Therefore creating an thread making it exist. Every other person had to click reply to the existing thread also.
You mean the sentainels are coming so he has to find the payphone to leave then to get the ship out of there?
But really the thread exists and its silly to say it doesn’t. Its kinda like if you say to someone dont think about anything they’re going to think about not thinking about anything. There’s still thoughts there its just likely of less thoughts… hmm I cant seem to draw it together. Oh well its all just hypothetical.
