I just had a quick look over at uk.rec.cycling (I’m not defecting, honest! Defective maybe, but not defecting). They’re having a good natter about unicycles. There’s a couple of r.s.u posters in there (Danny & Sarah) stirring things up too.
There’s some great comments in there:

Trombone, here!

(Does Mountain Dew count as a drug?)
I have to confess to being a trumpet player and an ex tuba player as well as a unicyclist … but where are the all-night drug-addled parties ??? Have I been missing out on a vital part of unicycling ??? Is this why I can’t ride backwards, or wheel walk … ??
Used to play the trumpet/cornet if that helps…
As for drug addled parties, it is not unknown for me to take a few Nurofen on the morning after a drink-addled night. Does that count?
Alcohol is considered a drug. Maybe this relates to our all night beer related post? Followed by our beer drinking lawn cuttings, and our sushi filled dinners. We all know what happens at Japanesse restraunts…

I know of a Dutch player of that instrument who does a daily scan on
Google Groups of ALL newsgroups to zoom in on any discussion on Usenet
about his favourite musical pastime. Notice that I have talked around
your term above as opposed to spelling it differently; I am curious as
to whether he finds this.
hey! i b another didj playing unicycist! its the only insturment that i can play…that and i play a mean jaw harp! im not sure how playing a didj on a uni would work, could i set it down on the ground and support myself with it? if not, very interesting counterbalancing it…and i dunno about my circular breathing on a uni, im not very good at it to begin with, and if im getting tired by being on the uni i think i just might kill myself
…I usually spell it “didgeridoo”, and I usually never abbreviate it but I spelled it with a “j” in my reply after seeing your abbreviation… in order to help maintain your comfort level. That’ll teach me.
uhh yea, i usually leave out the e and keep it as didg for some reason…whatever, as long as everyone can understand that we are not talking about some other wierd instrument…
I’ve been thinking about learning to play the Theremin. That would be pretty cool to play a Theremin on a uni. I could get one of the compact ones and fashion a neck harness kind of like a harmonica holder.
Playing a theremin on a uni would open up a whole new world of balance, since your supposed to remain as steady as possible.
