There are no Level 1 riders

There are no Level 1 riders

Uh… has anyone ever met the person/people who made a list of requisite skills for the unicycle?

Has anyone ever met any of the people who post to this forum?

Sorry for the redundancy.

… and,

oh, yeah…

By the way…

Glutes

(if you’re anal-retentive, thank me!)

isn’t a skill anything done physically that requires some level of mental concenstipation? So by this definition even walking is a skill. Dismounting a unicycle!..fagget about it, of course that’s a skill.
just for the record i am taking drugs, which is not a skill.

Don’t forget to dismount!

Do you refer to only unicycling, or also other skills, such as typing, spelling, and evacuating one’s bowels?

I hope one of the drugs you’re taking is EX-LAX.

Just remember, for mental concenstipation: sniff, don’t swallow.

I think the difference has to be made between a “skill” and a “Skill”. While it may require skill to dismount gracefully, it’s not one of the standard Skills.

I think…

Phil, just me

Yaaay! Phil gets it! I thought I said the same thing in my post as well.

But let me 'spain my point a little better:

  1. If you really think people are going to be confused by the fact that they can’t ride 3 revs after dismounting, then you suggest an edit to the skill levels. Personally, I don’t think it’s an emergency. Only people with computers instead of brains will actually get stuck on that one.

  2. I was making a little word joke on the various definitions of “skill.” It’s not in the Standard Skill List. Therefore, the 3 revolutions thing doesn’t apply. Ha ha.

It’s the old Joan Rivers Criterion if I ever saw it.

No, the graceful dismount is not included in the list of Standard Skills, but it is a Skill included in the list of skills needed to pass a certain Skill Level. Therefore, in my opinion, the graceful dismount is a Skill included in one of two lists (two separate lists, two different list functions). Perhaps the Level skills should only reflect skills taken from the list of Standard Skills, something for the newly formed skills committee to ponder.

In his original post, Jonathan was making a tongue in cheek statement about riding three revs after a dismount.

For those interested, the Standard Skills list is at:

The Skill Levels are at:

I think we all can agree that evacuating one’s bowels does at times
require skill. Por ejemplo’: when constipated I find that my skill for
aleviating the problem is exemplified thru my technique, which depending on
the severity of the constipulation, can vary. Some of the techniques I use
include: a 2 minute jog around the block, 22 jumping jax, fetal tuck on the
pot(with forearm over abdomen) 2 finger abdominal massage and various other
lower abdominal massage techniques.

Never thought I would be divulging this info in a unicycle mail group,

but we are talking about skill here so I guess that makes it relevant.

Hmm.

You could (okay, I could) argue that the listed mounts are approximate
descriptions (in reverse chronological order) of dismounts.

Suicide dismount? Rolling dismount?

Sned,

Thanks for sharing!

BTW, do you prefer a rolling dismount or a Flushing dismount when constipated? What about when your bowels are on the loose side? Do you utilize different dismounts depending on your day-to-day anal retentiveness (or lack thereof)?

Which dismount would you recommend for those in-between (not quite solid, but yet just this side of mushy) days?

Please understand, I only inquire out of respect for your obvious skill in this matter.
