i believe Globalization is screwing us, and developing nations.
No developing nations home grown companies are going to be able to compete with the big American company that outsources there. Also the way that the WTO is set up screws poor people. One rule is that if you participate with the WTO you must privatize certain industries (ie water, electricity). While this is great for the company that now gets the profit from these industries, it also leaves people unable to pay for the now profit driven industries.
Yes, the WTO is a front to fascism (public-private relationship). It allows big companies, not just American, to use coercive power to force trade regulations that benefit them and hurt the smaller businesses such as the home grown ones you mention. A free market would allow a small business to compete in that market and succeed when they are offering a better product at a better price, which is likely, because when a company gets too big, they lose focus and therefore efficiency.
When I first heard the term globalization, I thought it was good. I thought it meant more open borders and more free trade (I could travel, live or do business anywhere). I was wrong on what globalization was, as it really means all these fascist international organizations/agreements practicing legal plunder. The WTO, IMF, World Bank, NAFTA CAFTA UN, GATT, etc. Like most things in government, the naming of the act is the exact opposite of what it does. NAFTA is free trade, it’s managed and coercive trade.
