A few weeks ago, I was offered a Wii for my birthday… I always thought I didn’t want one but I couldn’t handle the social pressure my friend and my family’s put on me. so I gave up :" OK, offer me a wii if you want!"
So now I have a Wii.
I’m not a hard core gamer but I like to spend a few hours once in a while playing granturismo or some fancy plateform games.
But it’s interesting to see that I don’t play the same way with the wii or with the PS2.
PS2 is for lone gamers whereas wii games are more like “society games”. I rarely play alone on the wii, my lifemate and my 4.5 y/o son can play too.
So wii owners how do you play? what are your favorite games? did you chip it?..
of course there’s always super smash bros. (brawl)
(really fun, I’m horible)
WOOOOOOOOOO go brawl! Just downloaded it on the computer lol.
Wii sports is fun for everyone, the interaction is pretty cool and stuff. brawl brawl BRAWL you know you want it
I love Mario Kart, I got better at it than I expected and it actually became quite fun very fast.
So far I played “Mario Kart”, “Mario Galaxy”, “Wii sport”, “Mario and Sonic at the olympic Games” and “les lapins crétins show” (crazy rabbits show?)
I own a Wii too and I like it very much especially because of the virtual console games.
My favourite games are Resident Evil 4 (on of the best video games I have ever played), Zelda - Twilight Princess and of course Super Mario Galaxy (but no good game if you get confused in computer games easily )
does anyone here find they have significantly better control of their balance on wii fit than other people?
has anyone tried the wii balance board, for that matter?
It seems to be more of a matter of proprioception rather elquilibrioperception though, since the board doesn’t move.
anyone play Facebook games like Mafia Hit Man?
i play guitar hero, thats always fun
I looooooove Wii!
Very very fun!
The best part of it it’s calling your friends to come over and play with you!
When I play Wii Sports, I always play with someone else (usually my dad, but sometimes my friends too). And I play Wii Play (that is very very silly hahaha) with my sister because she loves it. When I’m alone, I play Zelda TP too!
It’s awesome! Hahaha sometimes I get a little bit frustated because Midna is always saying that ‘this is the last blabla’ and then something f*cking weird happens and you have more 3 or 4 things to find yet. Hahah.
Like the Fused Shadows… I was very excited to see the end of the game because Midna said “This is the las Fused Shadow” and I was like “Yay, I did it!” hahaha and then something weird happened and I had to find a bunch of other stuff and now I’m trying to find the last 2 pieces of the mirror. Hahaha and I’m pretty sure that when I find those pieces, another giant monster will come and say “Oh, but I still have the power! Now you gotta look on the map and fish some strange stinky fishes! Muauahuahuah”
Edit: btw, I HATE fishing on Zelda. HATE. Fishing should be the final boss, because it’s harder than any other thing in the game!
I have a wii and i recently got a PS3, I got the ps3 cause they barely ever released games for it and when i finally got a ps3 they release loads like that tap one
I like to play COD waw online on my wii cause i own 2nd prestige lv 40 somin
I liked this part a lot, very exciting (most of all to find and fish this special fish) But have you tried that mini-game where you have to balance a ball (THAT was really hard and frustrating to beat, but I couldn’t stop before I beat it). The best part in Zelda TP are maybe the bosses. They are all so different and it’s much fun to find their week spot (as far as I remember I liked that boss with the magnet fields most).
I don’t really like the Wii if you have to use the hand motion controlers. All the games I’ve played doing it either implement them horribly or are just plain boring.
I don’t remember the balancing ball game… I think I haven’t got to this part yet hehe! I’m in the Temple of Time. And I like the bosses too. I liked that boss that is like and old dinossaur skeleton or something like that hehe that spits fire balls and you have to use that strange thing to ‘fly’ and beat him.
But yeah, I hate fishing. It’s boring and hard. I hate it.
It’s somewhere in the fishing hut, where you can lend the boat (I hope I don’t tell you wrong things because it’s quite long ago when I played it last)
Dude you got wireless ? whats your brawl code ? we have to play sometime
I got a wireless modem. Brawl code?
go to the online mode and youll find your brawl/friend code somewhere there.Ill need that to see you online.Youll also need mine but i cant get that atm cause my wii isnt set up
I’ve tried it. I wasn’t so good.
I had a go on one of these at a a rellie’s place last Christmas and my experience was quite the opposite. My balance is good, but the Wii balance board is not for me. I lean very heavily to my left side as a lingering side-effect of an old hip injury. I can compensate for this on uni and bikes and everything, but the wii bathroom scales aren’t forgiving.
Having said that, I did much better than other players on the guide-the-balls-through-the-holes-without-letting-them-fall game and it was kind enough to call me a “Muscle Master” on the traditional exercise moves (squats, lunges et al.)
I looked up Proprioception (the detection of movement and balance through the body’s own perceptors like tendons and limbs) but drew a blank on elquilibrioperception. Can you explain what you mean please?
