The weekend before Christmas...

Every year I look forward to the weekend before Christmas almost as much as the day itself. This is the weekend each year that my grandparents visit from down south, I almost never get to see them but they always bring the best Christmas gifts! This year was not unlike any other, Gram and Gramps came and with them a large box. Boy oh boy, I knew what was in the box and I wanted it bad - then and there. Weeks prior I had been raving to them over the phone about the awesome new Nimbus ISIS which I so badly wanted. Sitting through dinner was almost painful, I couldn’t help but fidget and constantly glance over at the large box containing my grand new Nimbus ISIS. Each tick of the minute hand seemed to take an eternity.

Finally the time came to open presents. FINALLY! Unfortunately I had to wait as the little ones (my niece and nephew) opened there gifts. I quickly rushed them along and even went as far as to unwrap my niece’s last gift - she is three and was simply taking too long. In retrospect that was probably a bad idea… my parents sat there in shock with their mouths agape at my behaviour.

Nothing would stand between me and my Nimbus ISIS! It came my time and I hastily yanked the box from under the tree. In less than twenty seconds I had the box entirely stripped of its beautiful gold and red wrapping paper. Not having scissors or a knife to remove the packaging tape from the top of the box or the will to wait for such an item I “gently” punched a hold in the side of the cardboard box with my fist and tore away the first portion of cardboard which shielded my gaze from the precious Nimbus ISIS. It turns out for Christmas this year I received a Nimbus Isis and not a Nimbus ISIS…

Atleast this seat looks a bit more comfortable.

Haha, are you serious?

Picturing all of this is making a great seen in my head, specially cause im exaggerating how your tore the cardboard and opening your nieces gift, and probably your parents shocked faces.

I to want to know if he is serious

either way this brought a smile to my face, expecially the opening of your 3yr old nieces presents haha

Thank you

Dan

Can you return it?

Don’t you already have a nimbus ISIS?

He does. He could be asking for another one.

Or its a joke. A funny joke.

i think he sent a link with the nimbus isis 24"

haha thats so unlucky. seems like something my grandparents would do. But you already have a nimbus isis trials so its not too bad… plus you get to keep the comfy looking chair :D.

Im thinking this is a joke.

I want to see your face after opening the box and your grand parents’s response to your face :stuck_out_tongue:

What a beauty. Can’t wait to see that Isis in action, how about a video?

That tall back will give awesome control. That leather looks rich, and I’ll bet it holds up well to spills. UDC, KH, and Koxx1 should take note and offer full leather, this Isis really blows them away.

Also, forget about carbon fiber or titanium, solid oak is the way to go!

Now why on earth would I want to do that?

I’ve got the Nimbus ISIS Trials but not the Muni as I linked to.

My static hop and still stands on this thing are amazing but I wonder what the biggest drop it can handle is.

As if my last post didn’t make it clear, this story was entirely fictitious but I hope it still brought a smile to your face. Imagine being in that situation, how disappointing and awkward would that be? Or just picture yourself there at the gathering, maybe this person going insane with the gifts was a cousin, how would you react to that?

Does anyone have any crazy stories from the holidays they would like to share?

One Christmas, my grandmother took my two sisters (~10-12years old) to the movies. Grandma intended to take them to the wholesome movie Carousel but instead took them to the adult theme movie Cabaret dealing with nazism, homosexuality, abortion, and more!

I should have mentioned that my grandmother was a strict and proper lady, my sisters were good little Catholic girls, and sex was not talked about in our house.

To this day we wonder why grandma stayed for the entire movie.

Ahaha thats a great story, thanks for sharing.

Oh, it was a joke then, ok.
