The Unicycle Factory

I was at the Unicycle Factory on July 2nd for my yearly visit. I go there every
year for repairs, tires, ect. I was upset to learn from Tom Miller that his
orders for unicycles are way down. It seems the unicycle source website is
taking all his business. Visits to the factory are also way down, from 94 people
in 1998 to 4 people in 1999. Tom seemed very distressed and worried about his
future, and frankly so am I. I know the Unicycle Source website is great, I have
ordered alot of stuff from them myself, but nothing can compare to the hands on
excellent service that Tom provides. I just hope that we all realize what an
incredible asset Tom is to all of us and that we support him whenever possible.

Re: The Unicycle Factory

Eddie,

Thank you for helping to keep Tommi Miller in the spotlight. I’ve called Tommi
at least once a month since we opened for business a year ago. He is a
treasured resource for us, too. We trade with him as often as we can, and we
refer custom work to him at every opportunity. In fact, we’ve referred business
to each other.

We are a unicycle-specific marketing company; Tommi is a unicycle craftsman.
Many of his creations are one-of-a-kind. We just ordered 10 ultimate wheels from
him to resell in our catalog, and we’ve proposed several other cooperative
projects with The Unicycle Factory.

We plan to stop by Tommi’s place after the National Unicycle Convention. He has
graciously invited us, and we’re excited about meeting him in person. He jokes
about being eccentric, but he’s still a legend within the unicycling community.

We’ll keep ordering products from Tommi, and we don’t hesitate to encourage our
customers to order from him, too.

Best regards, John Drummond www.Unicycle.com 1-800-Unicycle

Re: The Unicycle Factory

Tom Miller has been a huge help to me also and is no doubt responsible for
keeping my MUni attempts alive by selling me hubs and cranks when I sorely
needed them. He knew exactly what I could do with my old Schwinn to make it hold
up to the abuse I was giving it. He knew which bearings would work and when
Schwinn went to metric sizing and why the old blue wheel that they sent me would
not fit my new frame. He has an incredible knowledge of unicycles and I hope his
business remains successful.

I second that. If Tom were able to access the Japanese market, what a demand
there would be for his services! I wonder, is Tom online?
