The Two Most Common Preventitive Repair Issues for Unicycles

1 - You probably already know this: If you are a beginner, or training
a beginner, wrap a towel around the seat.
2. Keep the pedals screwed in tight. If they become loose, they may
strip the crank threads, which is not only an expensive problem, but
you may discover that a replacement crank hard to find. But, if the
pedals are kept tight, the problem will never happen. Oddly, unicycle
pedals do seem to loosen all by themselves, and so should be checked
every couple of days.
3. Bonus: Take care of yourself. If you are new to unicycling, or are
working with a new unicycle: wear two pairs of socks, or otherwise
protect the side of your ankle. You’ll never know how glad you were
you took this suggestion!
Have fun!
