Lol!

good lord, level 10 is freaking insane! lol

i cant even do level one

You don’t have a unicycle? WTF+++ GET ONE!

Those are real old… I saw those like years ago.

I think.

yeah it was NEW FOR 2000!
hahaha

all the ones in BOLD i have done the ones w/ and asterix i have tried

seen it.
strangely, these are probably more accurate than the present levels!

ive always particularly enjoyed that one

I love these skill levels…sorta. I’ll write down the loopholes with the theories… The ones in bold I did. The italic ones I don’t know.

LEVEL 1

  • Purchase unicycle unassisted
When I got my unicycle I was sleepy and therefore forgot I wanted a unicycle and probably what a unicycle WAS…
  • carry unicycle 10 meters to car
I rode it(and possibly scared my parents from letting me use their shoulders for support until a month of PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE later, and scared them away some more, until 2 months, when I didn’t need them as much…)
  • gracefully place unicycle in car and drive home
I was in a minivan, not a car, and Dad put it in the trunk for me later…(lack of excersice, couldn’t lift it)
    LEVEL 2
  • while holding onto an object or person for assistance, mount unicycle and allow the wheel to quickly shoot out from underneath in a forward or backward direction
I did this a lot…until two days of practice later I perfectioned the mount…nowher near the FREE mount…
  • ride forward with both arms flailing in 1 meter arcs
Are my arms even 1 meter long put together?
    - turn randomly in any direction by twisting
    Did that a lot…
    - dismount without damaging seat
My seat is possibly the most resistant one on the market, some guys that were painting saw the rust on the unicycle and probably thought no one ever used it…it finally broke a few days ago when Dad said something about running over it…not a lot, though…still easily rideable.

LEVEL 3
- ride in a figure 1
1 as the stick or 1 with the little cap thing and base?
- free mount
Learned to do it!
- announce free mount success to all friends and post on Internet unicycling newsgroup
Possibly…
- ride while looking to one side
I can’t look at two sides at once!
- ride alongside a 15 cm drop
Hard to believe but I was a little scared of this one…It hurt!
- drift to the left or right while riding
Probably did it…not sure.

LEVEL 4
- demonstrate one mount, 4 times
When I can’t mount…
- ride with an empty stomach
Waiting for lunch…
- come to a stop, pedal a half revolution backwards and fall off
Many times…

  • open a can or bottled beverage while riding and sip 25 times
    I don’t drink canned stuff a lot and don’t drink anything on my uni.(Finally, a complete sentence!Another one!I’m on a roll…rats!)
  • perform a Level 10 skill in a unicycle dream
I 1-ft. wheelwalked and almost glided but fell backwards.
  • ride 10 meters wearing a unicycle T-shirt
    Don’t have one.
  • ride 10 meters with a unicycle T-shirt worn backwards
    Don’t have one.
  • ride 10 meters with a unicycle T-shirt worn sideways
    Don’t have one.

LEVEL 5
- create and upload a personal unicycle web page
I have a web page with a uni-ing section…

LEVEL 6

  • purchase a new unicycle of better quality and/or different wheel size
  • admit to your boss that you rode to work on it
  • mount in lots of different ways
  • hop in lots of different ways
  • ride backward in lots of different ways
  • idle in lots of different ways
  • ride one footed in lots of different ways
  • ride with the seat out in lots of different ways
    - get injured in lots of different ways
I’ve injured my shins in lots of different ways…

LEVEL 7

  • walk the wheel while sticking out tongue from corner of mouth
    Can’t walk it anyway.
  • spin on a well worn tire
Can’t spin, surprisingly, my tire is not worn…mostly I ride it on the porch which has floor paint.
  • hop with one foot caught in spokes
Never did, hope I never will…
  • coast while grinning
    can’t
  • glide while screaming
    can’t
  • koosh koosh (whatever that is)
can’t, and am not sure what that is either…

LEVEL 8
(secret…contact USA or IUF officials for information)
didn’t

LEVEL 9

  • perform all skills in the IUF video while whistling or humming the appropriate background music
can’t…won’t purchase the video. Who still has a working VCR and the VHS’s???

LEVEL 10

  • demonstrate 100 types of mounts
only know 2, I’ve almost mastered the kick up mount…who would have thought watching the short Team Uni demonstration and the Japan Artistic competition champion repeatedly would have helped in any way? BTW, I like this one too.
  • ride in a figure 10
    can’t side hop well.
  • walk the wheel one-footed backwards with the seat dragging behind
    never did, hope I will… :stuck_out_tongue:
  • hop/twist 720 degrees
    Ditto.
  • sideways wheel walk backwards
    Not really…
  • ride with the wheel off the ground for 10 meters.
REALLY want to do this!!
  • fold an intermediate level origami model while riding backwards with eyes closed
    Wish I knew origami!:stuck_out_tongue:
  • ride across a state/country/province between two parallel lines 30 cm apart without stopping
    Nope!
  • ride or hop over a Level 3 rider
I don’t know any riders, I’m sure they’d like to keep their…whichever part I decide to hop over…
  • stand beside unicycle without touching it for 4 hours on a beautiful Autumn Saturday morning
    Can’t stand that long…don’t want to either…
