The Pianist

Did anyone here watch that movie? Is it just me or is Roman Polanski
getting a LOT better at movie making? Usually his films are slightly to
obviously off-kilter, if you know what I mean.

The pickle can scenes I found extremely effective. My heart was breaking
the entire time.

Re: The Pianist

It’s a great movie, but by no means his best. In 1974, Roman Polanski
directed one of the greatest movies ever made, Chinatown. That said, The
Pianist is his best from 1975 to the present.

Re: The Pianist

I really wasn’t riveted to Chinatown the way I was to The Pianist. It
may have been a well directed movie but I liked The Pianist a lot better.
