I have been working on a new project recently - a custom coker.
Pictures of the first prototype are now up.
This frame is not how the finished one will look, I am currently ironing out some problems but I thought I’d get you all talking.
Having said the final one will be different - I should clarify. The tubing will be slightly different and the geometry will change a little. It will fundamentally be the same however.
I really like what your doing. The one drawback to that design, I think, is if you adjust the height of the seat, you can’t adjust the positon of the handle to match. It looks like that handle will work great for a rider of a specific height, but could cause problems for others.
Will that handle be strong enough to withstand drop force?
It looks to me like there is a bolt or something on the lower part of the handle so that you can adjust the height. The handle is at an angle though so it will also alter the distance of the handle from the seat.
I like the frame Joe, but hate the handle thingy. This would
prevent other handles being used, such as the GB
I still have to fit to my Coker, or even a vanilla Miyata. I
imagine you can make it optional, or will that affect strength
elsewhere?
Okie.
To clear things up a bit:
The handle is ajustable and therefore would render any others redundant. The ajustment is slightly angled however this doesent make much difference to it’s position.
It is andled so as to take the impact in a upd - and it will take the impact as it’ll all be 4130
This frame is being developed for a customer here in the UK, however it will be for sale both with and without the handle bit eventually.
