I’m sure Jack Halpern could figure it out.
Thanks William! YEah I will truly regret not going to RTL, but I know everyone will have such an awesome experience and look forward to reading all about it! ANd crisis averted on my email account! Got it back and all seems well!
elton john(70’s)… dont own it anymore
madonna “Dont cry for me Argentina.”
it’s pretty tough at your age.
Paul McCartney–with the cherries on the cover.
No, not really. I have teenage mutant ninja turtle cds/tapes, tons of old rap cds, nsync, backstreet boys, britney spears, a pokemon soundtrack, some of the ones listed from others on here as well.
Im just not embarrassed by them.
Homer: “We don’t have anything in common. Look at these records! Jim Nabors, Glen Campbell, the Doodletown Pipers. Now look at her records, they stink!”
Thank you. You beat me to it (if you are serious).
I am proud to own Eiffel 65’s Europop, Europop import with a whole disc of remixes, and their second album, “Contact!”.
33 1/3 was the speed the record (LP) turned on the turntable. That was 33 1/3 revolutions per minute or RPM. We also had 45 RPM records, 78 RPM records and one other slower speed which to I do not remember.
We also had 8-track tapes but that is for another lesson…
Yeah, I wasnt being sarcastic.
I wasn’t. Fine. I’ll be their only fan.
I CAN’T STAND IT!!! It’s like Kenny G minus the “soul”… I like Pretzel Logic tho… and Deacon Blues is awesome.
Well ok but when you just said Steely dan (in general) you made it sound like EVERYTHING they did sucked, so I had to call you on that one lol!, especially when there’s so much actual tripe out there passing as music! But I would highly recommend their grammy winning “Two against nature”. Just about every song is great!
I’ll check it out! I have a lot of respect for them as musicians (as I do for Kenny G. He can ACTUALLY PLAY JAZZ… I’ve heard him do it. He just… dosn’t). I just don’t really get into my cd…
Ok, check this! It’s called “Jack of Speed” from the album. Rare live version…Donald Fagen rules! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC-7Luq6ds8&feature=related
Also from the same album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sm3QoCoPwdM&feature=related
(And many more great ones from “Two against nature”)
ROFL… what on earth made you buy that ? But then again Leon Schuster is a legend… of sorts
I do cringe though when I hear those songs
Although looking at my vinyl collection I have the original Breakdance soundtrack album from the movie and Sigue Sigue Sputnik’s “Love Missile F1-11” Maxi-Single amongst some other dodgy stuff all bought in the 80’s
If memory serves that would’ve been 16RPM?
I was like 11 or something and it was on sale at CNA.
I also got Deep Purple’s FIREBALL at the same time.
I haz issues.
Are there any recordings of Kenny G playing real jazz? I looked on his Wikipedia page and All Music Guide page and everything there is smooth jazz / adult contemporary / pastel sweater.
It would be interesting to hear him do some form of improvisational jazz like hard bop or some form of modern jazz.
Deep Purple and Leon Schuster at the same time… definitely some issues
I really like Deep Purple so can understand that one, but the Leon Schuster one still escapes me, heeheehee
i went through my LP collection and turned up, wait for it
Best of gary glitter
for those of you who dont know, he is a convicted pedophile
hilarity ensues
in my defense, i have B.B. King, the stones and numerous other non horrific ones
