I am a string bass player but lately I have really been into the mandolin. It is nice and portable so I take one traveling with me. We just had the Kluane Bluegrass Festival up here and it has really inspired me to play.
Any mando players out there?
I am playing a Michael Kelly Legacy Elegante. It’s not great but I was jamming today with a friend with a much nicer mando and I was keeping up volume-wise. I will eventually upgrade but I have too many expensive hobbies. 
I have a cheap Ibanez mando that I take traveling with me.
