I think you’re confused with his comment, he is saying that Lil B is a mainstream “artist”, but you’re thinking of how Tupacs image has become mainstream.
I don’t even like rap, but I respect Tupacs work as legit. It sounds good musically, it doesn’t sound like all this pre-packaged, shrink-wrapped, modern rap bullshit, and the lyrics have meaning.
Lil B just seems to say “suck my dick bitch” all the time, is that his catch-phase? Tell me what his songs are about and I may respect your music choice, even though I think it sounds like crap.
