As always, I’m sure that this film will be amazing. I am so sad that I am on a computer that cant run that video, but the second I get back on my normal computer to watch your film, I’m sure that I will jump with joy!

What skill level are your lego men?
What programs/cameras are you using to make these productions? I got some lego and I want to make some too!

Hey Phil, did you use that lego guy on a unicycle picture to create your little name tag picture?
The guy on the impossible wheel was indeed the source for my avatar. He was going to be in a video of him riding the thing, but I got half way through before being stopped by bad light, and I’ve since moved house so it never got finished.
The entire film is about 700 frames, most of which are stop-motion. It would have taken me ages to do it by hand, but the QuickCam software is good for stop-motions… to add a frame you just click a button, and you end up with a video.
Even so, it still takes ages… wherever possible I try to avoid it…

the bit where the chap is sneaking behind the dictionary was done by me pushing the bloke along on a ruler with the hand that’s not in shot.

the bit where he leans out from behind said dictionary he was mounted on said ruler which I used to move him; you can see it sticking up above the dictionary as he leans out.

the bit where they carry the tenner was done with them mounted on a long bit of lego, and just pulled past the camera. Note how you don’t see their legs, because moving the blummin’ legs to make it look like them walking takes AGES!
The finished bits get converted to a nice format with VirtualDub (great program!) and then put together using Adobe Premiere, which is also blummin’ marvellous, beats the pants of all the other video editting software I’ve used. I’m told the more recent versions are even better, but I can’t afford them… 
What skill levels are the legomen? There is literally nothing they can’t do… I’ll see if I can catch them next time they’re showing off.

Ooo, and the bit where I get shot was done in one continuous video; I sat there looking shocked for a second, then stopped to smear ketchup on my forehead while trying not to move before falling backwards off my chair. Then using a bit of crafty editting the application of ketchup was removed making it cough seamless…
I am very glad I didn’t get interrupted during that bit. I’ve never had to answer the door with ketchup on my forehead before…

some total scumbag stole a box from my door this morning.it had $80 dollars worths of christmas stuff in it,all from the Bionicle series including the Exo-Toa armor!
i hope the loser that opens it feels like crap when they find a bunch of kids toys inside

these were presents for my kids,but your never to old for Lego’s.the Duplo maybe but not the Technic.
Wow, that legoman sure has some skill being able to wheel walk on an ultimate wheel!
Another great film Phil! Using technic men would be interesting because you could make them do more things since they have elbows and knees.

I found a technic man the other day. I thought about it, but there’s something endearing about the smaller lego men; I think the smile is cheekier or something.
Plus the technic man, having more bits that move, would take forever to animate…
