This last weekend we went to Stratford, Canada to see a Shakespeare play, Much Ado About Nothing. we have a Jayco Pop-up camper that has served us well that we took with us. When we cranked it up at home to pack it up, we discovered that we had a snapped cable. we later found out that the lift mechanism had grabbed some batter wires and shorted them together as it went up. The heat created by the short caused the cable to snap. we began to put the pieces together when we took the battery out of the camper and put it in our racing mower and found it dead. So, we left for Canada with a broomstick prop to put on one corner. It was dark and rainy when we got there. I got out the crank and undid all of the clasps on the corners, or, so I thought! >:o I had forgotten one! Oops! There was a snap and that corner fell downwards. One side was now completely broke! Dad went to find annother stick. When he got back, we tried again. The thing was almos all the way up when SNAP! Drat, that makes three! Dad told us to just crank it down and prop it up when our friends got done putting theirs up. David started to crank it down but the one “good” corner was stuck and did not want to go down! at this point we just let it sit there looking very dilapidated. once our friends were done setting up, they came over to help. We had four people on the totally busted side with me on the other corner. since I had the most weight to lift, all the water on the roof went down my sleeve. Eventually, we had sticks on the three bad corners and our camper was usable. My friend Avery remarked that we didn’t have a Pop-up any more. We now had a Prop-up . Thankfully, none of the sticks broke and we managed to unstick the stuck corner and go home. when we got home, we attempted to prop it up again. Again, we were almost all the way up when there was a snap and the last corner sagged. Since I was on the same side, I had the rainwater down the sleeve routine again. We eventually got all the sides propped up and our stuff out.
There’s More…

See that key labelled “Enter”?
You should try pressing it a few times in your next post. It breaks your post up into these things called “paragraphs”.
A viewer has a much easier time reading short paragraphs, instead of being assaulted with one giant block of text.
amen. I gave up after the 4th line.
I read it.
That really sucks.
Did you mange to fix the cables or the corners? Or will it forever have to be propped?
Havn’t fixed them yet, but we are going to!
Srry about my writing!:o
Sounds like you should call it a stick-up.
