the job thread!

well this is where you post your best/weirdest/only job(s) you’ve had. I don’t have a job yet but I’m hoping to be a caddy this summer. I’m just waiting for them to call me back.

resume

here is my resume:

1998-1999 - groundskeeper and general farm hand at Hillcrest Farms (yay 16’ mower on a PTO)

1999-2002 - turkey chaser, thats right my job title was “turkey chaser” ironicaly this was the highest paying job i ever had.

summers 2002-present - staff at st john bosco wilderness camp this is my second home. as senior staff with qualifications to be the head lifeguard, camp “nurse” canoe instructor or narure lore guru i am one of the highest payed people makeing aproximately $0.16 an hour. obviously I do it for the fat paychecks.

fall 2005 - server and casheer at caribou creek lodge, the nearest town was 40 minutes away

Last summer I worked for Northwest Youth Corps, it was soo much fun, just ten teenagers in the woods with shovels and axes!!

Last summer I slept and hung out alot if that counts… It is like a job where I do stuff to better myself, so I consider it my job to better myself no matter what it takes…even if that means sleeping half the summer…

I juggled at a daycare once, I got paid 20 bucks and two plums for a 45 minutes show/teach kids to juggle and cupstack.

that sounds awesome.
im totally doing that this summer.
i need to. oh man…that just sounds perfect for me.

what state did you do it in?
what types of kids did you work with?

for the last 3 summers ive worked as a plumber

i play concerts in town every month or so… i usually get paid $50-100.

I did it in Washington, but you can do it in Oregon or Idaho too.
If you get a bad crew, you’re with a bunch of juvenile delinquents, but if you get a good crew, then you’re often still with a bunch of juvenile delinquents, but they’re really nice ones. And generally out in the woods all labels fall off and everyone’s equal and usually nice to each other…but yeah, my point is, it’s awesome you should totally do it (:

I work full time as a cook at a japanese restaurant. Its really cool because the food is something very different, its also a pretty high class place, and there is alot of attention to detail. I also work with some great guys and girls and I have learned how to swear alot in cantonese.

The only downsides are pretty much that I could be getting payed alot more and be working less hours, and be getting more benefits, but I actualy enjoy this place that it makes up for that and really the only downside is that I work so much that it is very very hard to see my friends (50-60 hours a week)

I worked on the Phoenix Mars Lander mission for a little while, but not anymore. I got a little tired of minimuim wage…

i dont have a job (im 14) but beig a graphic designer seems like it would pwn, Into The Blue is one i think
