well i have never started a thread that has had loads and loads of replies so i was thinking, what thread can i start that loads of people will reply to? so i’ll give this one a try:

Here’s the tale of treepotato…
Once upon a time there was a girl called Liz who lived in Cornwall she loved to unicycling and one day when she was on the internet she came across the uncyclist,com forums, wow she thought to herself a place where i can talk to other unicyclists! you see poor Liz didn’t know anyone else who unicycled and so she wanted to meet other people who liked it and the forums made her feel very happy. But when she was subscribing to the forums she was asked to make a username, hmmm… she thoguht what username can i pick that no one else has but is related to stuff i like? then she thought well i love trees and i’m a vegetarian so i love vegetables and potato is a vegetable and put the two together and what do you get… treepotato!
And so therefore on that day in May the internet name treepotato was born, and from this day forth it will be Liz’s name on the internet, Liz was very happy.

I think im confused because you said avatar which i thought was the picture and you started talking about your screen name so ill just say both.
One day i find this site and i needed to picka name i really like the prefix un so i thought why not ill use that and i really like the word stream exxept i dont like s so ill just use tream except ill spell it awesomely with treme so right now i have un treme and while i was typing that i thought it would be a good time to work on my touch typing and i accidently added iex in the middle getting uniextreme. My name is Jayne, I live in South Africa, which is often abbreviated ZA. Put the two together and you get my screen name. I was considering Ms Tarzan (yes I have heard all the variations of the jokes) but thought that might be too confusing.
My avatar is a section cut out of a picture of me demonstrating spinning at a Weavers and Spinner’s exhibition. It is an 18 inch wheel and I do use both feet to pedal it. It’s there simply because it was the only picture I had in a suitable format to use as an avatar.
My avatar is a photo of the first communist head of Albania, Enver Hoxha. When I was a teenager in NYC there was a raging debate over Hoxha’s siding with the Chinese Maoists rather than the Soviet style communists. The Soviet communists dubbed Hoxha a Dogmato-Revisionist and there were flyers all around the city periodically announcing meetings to discuss the minutia of his ideological heresy. I don’t pretend to understand any of the underlying concepts behind this debate, but have always considered this matter emblematic of the inability of the left to make major headway due to minor differences.
Hoxha reminds me to always look for commonalities rather than differences.

i agree lego is great stuff i remember i used to have little indians who had bows and arrows and tea pees and i would spend ages making them fight among the folds of my bed cover pretending the folds were mountains and great valleys,

not sure what it is about that number 9 that I like. I like 3 too so there could be a connection between 9 being a perfect square and that square root is 3. Of course that may not be the reason but nevertheless I still like the number 9. Since I have a fascination with aviation, I would tend to pronounce the number as “niner”.
Well… my avatar (Which is new not 5 minutes before I found this form) is a picture of me right after I shaved my head for the spring racing season for University of Wisconsin, Madison rowing team.
My screename came from a funny vocal slip up that started when my roomate asked me if I was ready to go to dinner and I said “Lets eat, I’m rabbidous” when I meant to say ravenous. He thought that was pretty funny so that’s my screen name now (On AOL I added a Ol in front to make Ol Rabbidous… but same idea)
My name is Joona. And that avatar pic is Mini Moose. Invader Zim’s OTHER sidekick. I just thought it’s a funny looking picture.
And then for the off-topic part… What is the name of the guy in Bible who was swalloved by a whale? (I guess it’s not Pinocchio). In Finnish version that guy is Joona. What a funny coincidence. A friend of mine even invented a funny nickname for me, but it doesn’t translate too well. Pretty close to the ‘Choice of the whale’, but sounds better in Finnish. I wasn’t quite amused by it first.
I was visiting TheDan.com, and then i saw a page about lions! so i went there! Then i entered his scary lion drawing contest. But i liked my lion so much, that i kept him. TheDan still hasn’t put him up tough… but i still love my lion.
My last name’s O’Brien, which means people call me Obie for short (well nobody really does, but they could), so I said, “Hey theobieone, that sounds cool,” a couple of years ago and made it my screenname. With 3226 on the end. Ya see, that’s my favorite number.

Bubs is the man. So I made bubs my avatar. Then Itemno530 skewed the image in various ways and made it a .gif and sent me it. So now it’s my avatar.
I live by my sig. line. At a dirtbike race one night, a bunch of us were trash-talking and someone said “if you ain’t crashin’ you ain’t going fast enough”. I usually just use my name (Kenny), but since someone already had it on this forum, I just thoght I’d throw a “krashin” in front of it. I didn’t know that I’d live up to the name until I tried to uni .
I ran across the skeleton on the uni while searching an avatar site and thought it was very cool. I use that avatar on all three forums that I subscribe to
Ummmmmmmmmm let me see. I got my avatar when I was looking around the German part of the Forums (because let face it Germans are more creative than us) when I found this. I think it’s cool. By the way I have a thread on the German part asking them if they can speak English. Go and poast there if you want to. As for my Screen name. I play this old game from the early 90’s called Twisted. One of the charecters in the game was named Worminton. He had a dog named Otis and since I go by the name Otis in real life I decided to make my screen name Worminton. The Avatar is also my Buddy Icon on AIM. The screen name is also.
