The Grid

worth a read

Re: The Grid

That is interesting. So called “grid computing” is a hot topic in computer and Web journals and news. Whatever it is, like the Internet, governments (as the article says, “governments and scientists are on board”) will foot the bill for development. Which, of course, translates to the tax payers. Then private companies will step in to reap the profits and have the gall, to boot, to claim that it was their innovation and creativity that brought us the grid. Well either that or Al Gore will take credit.

Re: Re: The Grid

either that, or we end up with the razor situation
(no scott, the sweet ones u use to scrape hair from your face -
or, by the sound of u, your back and knuckles :stuck_out_tongue: )
back to the razor situation
the perfect no-clogging, allways sharp, never-a-nick razor does exist
in an underground bunker, under heavy guard
why?
because it cost sooo much to develop it, the company can’t afford to sell it to the public 'cause they’ll never recoup their RnD outlay
so they r selling us the steps in the RnD process, hoping to be able to drag it out for long enough to save themselves from instant bancrupcy
