Ben has been planning this for awhile. The kids are all on Spring Break this week, so today we’ve got eleven boys in the house all playing Halo 2 and Oblivion on five or six computers and monitors in three different rooms, all linked wirelessly or otherwise. Mary bought all kinds of chips and pop (especially Mt. Dew) so they’ve been going strong since this morning. Now she’s got a mess of frozen pizzas in the oven. I asked Ben when the Red Bull reps were going to show up but he said they couldn’t quite make it today…
They might wrap it up sometime tomorrow morning. We’ll see how long they last. Mary’s on her way to Wal-Mart for more Dew.
In this picture, Ben’s in the white tee shirt and Brad’s in black.
Thats pretty cool man…I’ve always wanted to go to a LAN party. I don’t really play video games that much, but I do like playing, and I am pretty good at them usually…
The pizzas lived up to their life expectancies of about a minute and a half each, and a minute of that was arguing over how many pieces each of them had. I think there is still one upopened bag of Bar-B-Q chips but only because it was on a chair pushed under the table. They also sucked down three 2-liter bottles of pop in no time.
Mary and I are scrambling trying to find something else to fill them up.
I’ll remember that for when Bear gets older. I’m one of those strict “no TV no video games” now moms… while I can, but that will probably change when he get older.
I’m not really sure but I think they had four or five X-boxes. They had things hooked up everywhere so they may have been playing some computer stuff online. I’d have to ask Ben. Can you hook an X-box up online?
Edit: Oops, looks like Fuego answered that already. So maybe I’m not sure what all they were doing. All I know is that they were concentrating then suddenly everybody would be whooping loudly all through the house. Guys were constantly running up and down the stairs, talking on headsets, and sometimes I think working up a good sweat. The only other time they were quite is when they were stuffing their mouths with pizza.
