the diagonal hop

Does anybody find that it is much easier to hop up or over things when doing a diagonal hop? I know that there is probably some physics involved, but I think it has alot to do with your mind. when you forward hop up something you fear shooting forward or flying backward. when you side hop you feel like you need to face the object more. diagonal hop gives the least fear with the best results. This is what I have experienced anyway.

well

I couldn’t agree more.

When stationary hopping from a diagonal position is probably a compromise… you can (well, I can, anyhoo) get greater distance by hopping sideways, but if you’re on something narrow you don’t want the wheel sideways just in case it rolls off as you go. Plus it means you have to turn every time you get to something you want to jump.
