When that lovely KH 20-inch I once possessed
that was so costly, precious, and pleasing to my sight,
carefully, carefully, and cautiously I rode her, lest
I mar, smudge, or scratch her with a slight.
Yes, so lovingly did I pedal her 'round and 'round
that she n’er suspected my true intent
was to run her shamelessly o’er the ground
only to, in the end, barter her for the rent.
But though then, and now, I still regret
my fickle lust for her label and gleam,
I have since found a new saucy harlet
who sates my desire for trials supreme…
Yet, she causes in me no sense of caution,
and I bash her about without exhaustion!
I have just put my trials uni back together, with a KH hub and cranks, and a new powder coated frame (pics soon)
The first time I rode ‘her’ on any trials, I was really careful.
After the first little scratch though, i just went out and thought, well there is not point having a trials uni, but not using it properly because I don’t want to spoil the paint! Actually, it looks good with some battle scars on it
Here’s the (belatedly) edited and corrected version:
