NUC last week. And if so, what did ya think???

Steve, while at the NUC I rode the Telford in two configurations, 26" mountain
rim, and 24" narrow racing tire. I was very impressed with the unicycle both
times. It had only one draw back that I encountered. Being only 5’8" in stature,
and needing app: 32" between the bottom of the seat and the pedal at bottom dead
center, I found that I could not use the suspension seat post with the 26" Muni
rim and 7" crank combo that Geoffrey had set up. He had also made a (regular)
seat post which worked just great. With the 26" rim it was very agile,
responsive, quick, and most importantly to me a very smooth ride even with the
(regular) post. The angle of the seat post and flexable stays have elimated that
(jack hammer up the butt) action that we’re all too familier with! With the 24"
rim and shorter crank combo, I was able to use the suspension post and again was
impressed. Apparently, Geoffrey dropped it off a cliff on one of his Muni rides
and it took the beating. The construction was every bit as good as it looks in
the pictures. He uses very good components (if not the best) in all respects.
Viscount seat, aluminum seat post, Salsa post clamp, NK hub/stainless spokes,
etc. The suspension post has several different shims to tailor the ride to your
liking. I’m sure he will use anything of your choice, also. Can’t say enough
about the bearing holders. Much attention paid to every detail of constrution.
Top guality unicycle! Hope this helps in your analysis, Mike
