I recently swithed seatposts from one stock Coker frame to another. It was easy, I just marked the seatpost in the old frame and inserted it into the new one to the line.
But how about trying out different unicycles? Especially other peoples unicycles. How do you know what height to set the seat? Enter the seatpost height tattoo scale.
Marked lines tattooed from your sternum to your navel can indicate the correct seat height for you for any wheel-crank combination. You could have a line marked “Coker 150mm,” one marked “29er 145mm,” a “MUni 175mm,” a “20 inch 125mm” and any combination desired. A metric to stupid conversion chart could also be included. An added advantage is that the marks are independent of the thickness of the soles of your shoes. Just set the seat to the height line tattooed on your person.
This is public information. I expect no royalties from this ingenious contribution to unicycledom.
So THIS is the reason why you wore the one-piece swimsuit… the two-piece would show off your “tattoo scale” and you were trying to keep that “under wraps” whilst trying to sell the idea.
You BONEHEAD. You have no future and have exhibited no growth. You are too young to have a tattoo anyway unless Lewis gives you permission. You’ll be sporting this scale in Memphis for the Nationals, I presume?
I can see the tattoo chart as extremely effective, even accounting for correlation between growth and effective seat height. Very nice idea, something handy to have along anywhere you go. But you are thinking in straight line theory, which works wonders for a person of your stature. In my case, straight line markings would not be accurate as I would have to account for a certain protuberance. More engineering, please.
Being of short legs and long torso, my problem is I can’t fit on unicyles ridden by taller people like Harper, JC, and Irene.
My solution was to tattoo two discrete marks just below my belt line to measure the amount I have to cut off their seat posts so I can reach the pedals.
