YES! I love that idea… Along with the earlier one about “Next person who asks
where my other wheel went…gets a 20” where the sun don’t shine!"

And, um:

Unicycle: n, (yu-ni-si-kel), - The funny contraption you’re staring at.

Er, I suppose not.

Re: T-Shirt Ideas

Take the famous Leonardo da Vinci sketch of the naked man with four arms and
four legs in a circle. (I believe it was used on a “Balance” shirt some years
ago - it appears to demonstrate the relative proportions of the arm and leg
lengths of a man.)

Delete the bottom two legs, and replace them with a sketch of a unicycle.

Now you have a sketch of a famous man, on a unicycle, coasting, with the arms
appearing to wave around everywhere to keep balance.

Any comments?

(If anyone actually tries this out, on a t-shirt or otherwise, I would
appreciate an e-mail telling me how it looks.)

Re: T-Shirt Ideas

Real simple:

One side - picture of a unicycle Other side - “Real men only need one wheel!”

I’d buy one of those.

This is my personal favorite too but some might think it too sexist. What do you
folks here on the mailing list think? Should I poll a bunch of women first, or
just make up about 3 dozen and bring them to the upcoming NUC? I’ve finally
found a shirt shop that will do an order this size.

Sexist? I don’t think anyone would find it offensive. I think your customers
might be all male unless you made a “Real women…” version, but that doesn’t
make it sexist.

Besides, if its your favorite, wear it.

It rubs me the wrong way, not unlike a bad uni seat. Not only do I dislike the
implied macho attitude, I can’t see any redeeming qualities. Plus it excludes
many of the finest unicyclists.

I love this idea! I think this could look great if done well.
