surfers?

Any fellow unicyclists into surfing? I just bought my first longboard after getting sick of renting every weekend.

I noticed last year when I first got into it that I ride the board much the same way I best perform hops on my uni - right foot forward. I’m right-handed so I guess that makes it ‘goofy-foot’ style.

I’m not all that good at surfing, but man its a load of fun.

I was tought to surf when I was 4 years old and was an avid Shortboarder untill I was nine and moved away from Hawaii. My dad was an avid longboarder for 25 years in hawaii as well, and knows all the current Longboarding pros. It’s cool to see my dad’s old friends on TV at all the Surf comps.

That’s pretty sweet. He probably knows some good shapers too.

I started out surfing in Maine and have wound up in LA. The water isn’t much warmer…

I go surfing occasionally in summer. But the waves around here are pretty crap, I would like to get into it more though.

I used to surf, but now I skimboard (wave riding)

skim boarding is awesome! I remember spending days on end skimboarding with my friends 2 summers ago! the coolest holiday ever, we ending out getting like tricks and jumps etc it was awesome.

That’s funny, I’m goofy on a skate and snowboard, but I hop left foot forward most of the time.

Also I don’t snowboard a lot just ski. Something else I noticed was after learning the BC wheel It was super easy to skateboard.

I want to give that a try. Someone informed me that it was a great way to break your tailbone…all the more reason to learn! :stuck_out_tongue:

skimboarder here also. I just got back from a great little wave session at nauset beach on cape cod. I live about 20 minutes away right now.

I’m a “regular foot” surfer/skateboarder. I like to hop the uni the same way— Left foot in front …

surfing

I surf. I got a bic 7’3’’ for christmas. I live in Maine. The waves are small and im really bad but its fun.
