sun doublewide rim with brakes?

does the sun doublewide rim work with a brake on it, i thought it was a disk brake rim??

It’s supposed to be a disk rim but it still works because the sidewalls are fairly square. It
squeals quite a bit if you don’t grind the paint off, though.
