Subway [Thread]

I just got a job at Subway, and let me tell you I absolutely love working there. The people working there are top notch (you can make your own assumption if you come to mine) and it is just a pleasant easy going environment. Anyone else here work at Subway or have any Subway related experiences or even questions?

-Sandwich Artist

I once ate at Subway then Quizno’s came around and I’m never going back.Never!

i hate subway

Subway my ass

A subway sandwich is like an anorexic chick compared to quiznos being a fat chick. Subway is good, but only when I want a snack.

If you hate Subway then go eat at Quiznos! It the best franchized sandwhich place ever!
Congratulations on the job BTW.

adjuggler,

Whatever anyone else might say about Subway, I hope you continue to enjoy your job as much as you seem to be now. A good work experience early on is a good start. Whether you end up working for others or trying something on your own, it’ll help you develop an appreciation for the customer, a decent work ethic - which can apply to more than just your employment - and hopefully also a sense of what it means to work together. Without getting too new age businessy, I’ve always believed that when my organization thrives, so do I.

[Edit]: And take this thread as a personal lesson. When someone says something positive about their life, try to go with it in the spirit it was intended and don’t feel the need to turn it into something negative.

Good luck.

ohh ya congats on the job But don’t work supper slow like all other subway employees

Yay, I love Subway! I never understood the hype over quizno’s…it’s overpriced, IMO. I loved the 5 dollar footlong thing they did for a while - that still going on?

That should be an enjoyable job, seems pretty good as far as food service goes. Makes me miss my job at Marble Slab again… :frowning:

I like subway

Italian herbs and cheese over chicken breast with tomato, lettuce, onion, and green pepper FTW

I was a big Subway fan until most of the stores dropped the (crab-based) seafood salad. That was my favorite.

Here’s a trivia question I sometimes annoy Subway employees with:
“Where do the BMT initials, in the Italian BMT sandwich, come from?”
I’ll give you a chance to puzzle it out for a while…

So what are you going to buy first?

I had subway today…'twas delicious. Prime rib, green bell peppers, onions, and mustard.

Do they have veggie food?

And more to the point, do they have more than one option for vegetarians?

Goats, it’s a sub shop. What do you expect? You got your swiss, muenster, american, and provolone. Or the veggie toppings without cheese. I appreciate a restaurant that has multiple options for vegetarians such as myself, but Subway is a sub shop. The day Subway or Blimpies or any of those places start offering Tofurky slices will be the day a gay Jewish dwarf gets elected president of the United States.

If you’re a vegetarian there are options, but they are limited. If you’re a vegan you’re probably out of luck there.

I was just wondering… Sometimes I have enough money to eat at a restaurant but the places I can afford to eat at usually only have one veggie option that isn’t all that great.

Also, I have no clue what a Sub shop is like. I live in a very rural community where most people havn’t even heard of microwaves.
I still don’t have one by the way… lol.

EDIT: to examplify this point, I had never heard of Quiznos until Pele told me he worked there.

I work at Quiznos!!!

Yes on I believe 8 of our subs, most of the places have which ones are 5 bucks posted, and so far it is great there is the obvious standardization that come with fast food, but it lots of fun.

I believe JJuggle already pointed this out, but the Veggie Delight is probably your best bet, then of course all the topping and sauces is a good touch. Usually spicy is the way to go for taste. There are wraps and subs, but we try to cater to the “average” customer.

What do you think of it?

Ok, I made some assumptions. Sorry.

Do you know what a hoagie is? A hero? A grinder?

Here is your basic sub or any of the above:

Meat and/or cheese on a long roll with any combination of veggies and dressings. Sometimes toasted, sometimes not. This is what they sell at sub shops.

I just go with

Bigger Meatier Tastier
