i have seen really stupid labels on items in stores. here’s some
on the back of some hairdryer box: don’t use while sleeping
on box of japanese steak knife: keep out of children (i think somethin got lost in the translation)
on back of lays potatochip bag: no purchase nessesary, details inside(the shoplifter special!)
on clementine box: size:20 caliber 1( these can be used as bullets?!)
on superman costume: WARNING; wearing this suit doesn’t enable you to fly(oh go ahead, crush a kid’s dream!)
That’s very useful, because if you put the pedals in the wrong cranks it’ll strip the threads, or if you put the seat on backwards the pedals will come undone and fall off while you’re riding…
I saw one at someone’s house on an outdoor couch cushion that said something to the effect of “This material is not flame retardant in the state of California”.
I shot this pic myself in Amsterdam
The green ligth is a bit too bright; but this really is a pedestrian traffic-light (like the road signing indicates).
And for those who don’t know; the traffic sign on the thraffic light means it’s forbidden to walk beyond.
Other than the Always store upright label, all the labels you mention here are because of government regulation. It’s easier to have the labels on everything then to make an exception in the law saying, “any food product containing nuts must carry a warning that it may contain nuts, except products clearly labelled as nuts.”
And ussually it’s adults who but the cold medicine for their children.
