Street tricks on a large wheel

I know that a small wheel is preferred for street and trials, but can anyone do street tricks on a large wheel?

I have a 20" uni so I’m not asking if I need a smaller wheel; I just think it would be funny to see someone do a unispin on something like a 26" wheel, or maybe … a COKER.

There is a really good video of a guy doing 26" street. It is ridiculous, he does ramps and stuff.

I think I’ve seen that video, but is that street? I remember he was just going fast and riding off ramps and stuff.

I wonder if you could do flatland on a large uni.

I’ve done a 180 unispin on a coker before. :stuck_out_tongue:

You can ride flat on a larger wheel. It just really is not preffered because the smaller your movements the smoother your tricks can be. Like the higher I have to lift my leg to spin or do the rollingwrap the harder things become. The other issue is that flipping isnt as easy. Doing doubles and triples is important to a lot of people these days…

The point in that 26" street video, I thought, was to give people the idea of doing big tricks even bigger.

I dont know if you have seen a Shaun Johanneson video before, if you havent, check out the first video posted on this site… Imagine that style of riding on a 26". It would be completely epic. It would be taking big street, even bigger.

But thats just how I saw it.

And I have seen unispins on Cokers. Ive also seen one on a giraffe. Its just novelty at that point, nothing serious.

Sounds like a great way to nut yourself.

Isaac Steiner told me he did a 180 unispin on his Coker too:p I did a crankflip on a 24"… and almost on a 26"…

Well I’m glad that most people can’t do tricks on a larger wheel cos I’m having some trouble on my 24". True, I have never done any tricks before and my 24" weighs a ton (Qu-Ax…) and it is my only unicycle but anyways…
