Re: star wars

After that last piece of shit? Hell no. I’ll see the dreadful mess on
video… I’m sure it’s a visual masterpiece and all, but there’s only so
much bad dialogue I can stand.

Re: star wars

Hey, three of the four were good so far… I figure we have 75% chance of
having a good film here.

I’ll be watching Spiderman that weekend. I figure everyone will have
forgotten about it by then in the rush to see Episode 2

Re: star wars

I’d say the only one made in the last 15 years is really applicable.
George Lucas is more of a toy maker now than a film maker. He’s a
hack… Also, I might add that the best Star Wars movie (The Empire
Strikes Back) was not even directed by Lucas, but Irvin Kershner.

To each his/her own… I’ve enjoyed them all (including the toys)… I was
righteously indignant along with the rest of the world over the inclusion of
Jar-Jar, but I liked Episode I for the most part.

Hey I put in for a vacation half-day two weeks ago. I’m entitled.

Re: star wars

Ughh… Episode I was just plain awful - and if it hadn’t been for the
other movies it would’ve received the treatment it deserved (along the
lines of Battlefield Earth).

I liked battlefield earth! It was kinda cheesy but fun!

Well here’s my two-bit review of Episode II:

GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

It is probably the best Star Wars film to date. The plot/storyline keeps
you sucked in the entire two and a half hours. The special effects are
amazing, of course. But it’s the story, the connection between what we
already know and what we want to know, the character interaction, and
the dialog (yes Jay, the dialog) that makes this movie far exceed my
expectations.

-Mike K.

Re: star wars

The dialogue is good? You’re telling me: “I don’t like the sand. It’s
corse and rough, not smooth and silky like you” is good dialogue?
lol… I’ll have to see for myself (just about every review I’ve read
has knocked the dialogue, even the positive ones).

Actually, I did not like that whole scene where Anakin and Padme are on
her home planet. It seemed pointless and trite to me. They could have
worked the romance in while they were off doing other things.
